Step 1: Filtration

Step 2: Electrolysis
Clean Water passes through several electrode plates and membranes, which divide it into acidic and alkaline parts. This process separates OH- (hydroxid ions) and H+ (hydrogen ions).
The hydrogen ions combine with electrons from the cathode (negative electrode), creating H2, or molecular Hydrogen. OH- ions stay, making the water more alkaline near the cathode.
